After 116 years, First Baptist Church of Coppell’s elders felt the need to change the name of the church. The perception was that a “First Baptist” tends to be a more traditional setting and we were trending away from that. There was also the fact that though this is a community church, it reaches more than just those in Coppell. So the leadership decided to rebrand the church including a new name, GracePoint Church. The missions and beliefs of the church remained the same, this was only a face-lit in order to appeal more to the community and those looking for a church family. About a year after the renaming, we launched a year long branding campaign called “Church for Your Family”.

HELPING KIDS LOVE ALL CULTURES
GracePoint Church in partnership with their weekday preschool, Bright Beginnings, hosted Taste the Nations. Taste the Nations sets out to introduce kids to different cultures by tasting their food and exploring their arts. We strive to teach children that different cultures are not something that should scare us, but excite us. God loves the whole world, and so should we. During the event children are invited to view different cultural foods as yummy and necessary rather than rejecting them due to unfamiliarity.
The kid-friendly tasting menu is designed with many allergies and diets in mind.
There will be something for everyone. Entertainment for the night will be provided by Bright Beginnings, Milaana Dance and USA Branch of Korean Traditional Music Association.
Neighborhood Outreach where hosts invited the kids in their neighborhood or friend groups to participate in a week of games, Bible Study and object lessons centered around the topic of being a part of God’s Team. This curriculum was fully created in house and customizable to any size group in an indoor or outdoor location.
